The bi-annual HR Town Hall, held on Friday, April 26, brought together Ohio State’s HR professionals for updates on HR Transformation efforts.

HR and university leaders shared strides made in shaping the future of HR at Ohio State, ultimately supporting an exceptional employee experience. Colleagues working on the implementation of a new HR Service Delivery model (an initiative facilitated by the Enterprise Project) and Career Roadmap presented highlights and work-in-progress from their respective areas.

Shawn Ishler, director of client services at Bartell & Bartell, Ltd., served as the keynote speaker. Ishler is a consultant with a successful career in helping organizations build teams and transform culture. He encouraged the HR community to be change leaders throughout the HR Transformation journey. Ishler explained that by positively influencing how others perceive the changes and helping them navigate the new processes, the university’s HR professionals can create a tremendous impact.

Additionally, attendees were able to visit various booths to engage with representatives from different HR Transformation efforts. The booths allowed attendees to ask specific questions and view brief demos of future technology.

The event concluded with a question and answer session with a panel of HR leadership, including Senior Vice President Susan Basso.

Town Hall presentation materials, along with additional HR Transformation resources, can be found on the HR Transformation website.
